Lake Holon

I needed to convince myself that I made no mistake doing this so with every step, I whispered on repeat "Lake Holon, you better be worth it!".

I am no trekker, no athlete & definitely not sporty, just another lazy-ass-couch-potato who's willing to pay extra for comfort and convenience PLUS I had to deal with my period cramps at the time (perfect timing) but I DID IT... and swear, I'm NEVER doing it again! Hahaha. JK! 😂

How did I even manage to smile after all the trekking? Hahaha and then I remembered , "Aha, #picturegoals" 😂

Kidding aside, Lake Holon was a different kind of experience; it was beautiful and calm, one where you get to be intimate with Mother Nature; one that makes you modest because it reminds you what tiny space you occupy in the world; one that makes you see the beauty in all the little things. And one, I will never regret taking.

Sure, pictures are great but these do not justify its beauty and majesty. The place is something you need to SEE for yourself. You just have to be prepared for anything - crazy weather which involves intermittent rains & heavy downpour, scorching heat from the sun, fatigue/exhaustion, thirst & low blood sugar. Hahaha make sure to pack light with necessities but pack a LOT of patience and endurance. Just PACK GANERN! 😂 Trust me, the place is worth it!

Beautiful, isn't it?

We took the difficult trail (Kule) going up to see a better of view of the lake. And we took the easy trail (Salacafe) going down where I opted to ride a horse after a grueling hour of climbing from the lake because my legs were already shaking! Hahaha But if you can (and I know you can) then by all means, TREK ON FOOT all the way! It's a much better experience.

Unfortunately, it rained so hard when we arrived; we didn't get to experience the kayak and I only managed to swim for about 10 minutes before the downpour. The lake literally turned ino a huge basin - and we could only hope for the rain to stop. It was freezing cold and we were soaking wet which probably explains why we were pre-advised to be "WATERPROOF" ourselves. Haha! The weather was just so unpredictable; it's even worse than a girl on her period (eherm) 😂.

So even if I don't want to anymore, I might just consider going back. I NEED TO EXPLORE THE LAKE & all the mystery surrounding it.

(Note to self: Will take the easier trail this time, maybe? 🤔😏)

Below are photos we took on Day 2 when the sun finally decided to show up. Hahaha

Nevertheless, Lake Holon was FUN and we made some amazing memories there; locals were really nice, strangers turned into friends... but I have to give credit to our amazing TOUR GUIDE who made everything easier and definitely MORE FUN for us. Sir Banjo, you are an incredible human being. Bless you!

With our celebrity tourguide - Banjo Syting of DAYOFF ADVENTOURS.

My verdict? ONCE IS ENOUGH. LOL!

But MAYBE, just maybe, I might consider going back. When all the muscle pain subsides 😜 and after Vir recovers from his "yayay".

After all, I was right. LAKE HOLON IS WORTH IT! ❤️

My Siargao Love Story

If you've come this far, congratulations! You have entered one of the secret lairs to my past - my blog. Hahaha this site has been dormant for years and I hope with this post, I can turn things around 😏

This was designed by a good friend (Jong Banaag) about 5 years ago; I was unable to sustain it because the sloth in me always prevails! 😂

Anyway, to hype things back up,I am sharing some highlights during our #KVENTURESSIARGAO Trip; because 1) it feels good to be back in writing/blogging, 2) This is a perfect digital archive that Vir and I could look back at years from now and 3) I clearly just can't get over it hahahaha

First and like what I always say, Siargao is EXCEPTIONALLY, INSANELY, BREATHAKINGLY BEAUTIFUL. I have searched for the best adjectives and adverbs; but no amount of words, not even my photos, can justify the beauty of this place. I knew in my heart I had to write about it, so here it is.

Below is our actual itinerary, a little bit different from what we originally planned but then again, plans change..so flexibility is key! Remember, you can always tweak things; just have fun with it! 😉

Note: This doesn't include complete costs for food and fare but I hope you' still find this useful:

Here are some highlights of our trip:

this
SUGBA LAGOON in Del Pilar, Siargao tops my list. I fell in love with the place; I think I left pieces of my heart there ❤️

The Magpupungko Rock Pool Formation in Pilar is one of the famous tourist spots in the island. It's so beautiful I could stay there forever!

JELLYFISH SANCTUARY
(Sohoton, Bucas Grande Islands)
The majestic Sohoton Cove boasts beautiful landscapes, calm blue waters and is home to thousands of the friendliest jellyfishes in the world!

Bring out the surfer (or non-surfer in you)! Remember, they don't call Siargao as the "Surfing Capital" for nothing!

Naked Island
You don't have to go too far to experience Siargao's fine beaches; they're literally scattered everywhere and swear, they're worth the sunburns and unwanted tanlines.

So there you have it! I hope you had fun reading as much as I had fun sharing and reliving the memories. Oh and don't forget to pack a lot of sunblock and patience with you!

Until then, Siargao! 💓

Bluetooth keyboard for Ipad Mini, FINALLY

As promised, I will buy myself some time to blog on my whereabouts in life. So might as well start with this one.

Recently, I went 'soul-searching' for a rather essential accessory to my ipad mini which would contribute to my blogging beeswax. Yes, I am talking about a portable keyboard I could bring anywhere with me.
Since blogging involves a lot of typing (and yes, it is hard to type on a touchpad), I became all the more obssessed (sorry for the lack of a better word) to scout for wireless keyboards which flatter all-touch devices and obviously, make typing easier.

I made my research and have come accross a few renowned brands in the market which include the Belkin Bluetooth Keyboard and Logitech, among others. Of the two, I found Logitech more appealing and efficient (based from reviews and youtube tutorial videos). Sad to say, I could not find said brands here in the Phils. If there's any, I would have to order it online and pay extra for the shipping fee. So, ugh, NO.

I started off with local online shops then asked around gadget shops in the city. iCenter in Abreeza, however, told me they did not have available Apple-branded bluetooth keyboards for iPad minis yet but recognized that a lot of these were already being sold in other stores.

Alas, my search bore sweet fruits of labor! After my stringent quest, I have found myself a Bluetooth Keyboard for Ipad Mini at a relatively affordable price (compared to others I have seen online). And now, I admit to being over-engrossed in exploring this gadget like a child with a new toy.

So here is a look of the bluetooth keyboard:

Hate to admit it but this might just be the primary reason behind all the eagerness in resurrecting my seemingly dying blog.

So far, the bluetooth keyboard is doing its magic on me. I am loving it! It's rather small compared to other keyboards (of course) but that's exactly what my tiny hands are made for, right? LOL.

As you can see, it looks like I just got myself a mini detachable lappy here. Ahh, the wonders of technology!

Anyway, If you find yourself fascinated in the bluetooth keyboard for your Ipads and Tabs (like myself), you can leave me a comment here.

Crossing fingers to seeing you in my next posts! :)

Major (?) Comeback

Hello world and all who inhabit it!

It's been a while since I actually updated this blog. And I feel terrible about it.
So to make it up to you (and to myself), I shall make a major comeback. Lol!

I've been really busy with work and well, uhm, the love of my life (I will blog about these separately) HAHA!

Rest assured, my upcoming posts will be more exciting! And I will try my hardest to improve my blogging! See ya'll :)
